There are several common torque wrench unit, “Torque” should be called “rotation torque” in physics, that is, the torque produced when the object is affected by a tangential force with the rotation direction of the object. It is usually measured by torque wrench, torque batch, torque meter, electric batch torque tester and bottle cap torque tester. Because there are many folk names, people often say “torsion”.

Simply put: torque = force x arm. For example, if the arm (i.e. wrench) is 1m long and 100N force is applied, the torque will be 100N. M. The concept of torque was explained by the principle of leverage in the student’s time, which was defined as “the force in the vertical direction multiplied by the distance from the rotation center”. Archimedes, the ancient Greek physicist, said, “give me a fulcrum, and I will lift up the whole earth”. At that time, others thought he was crazy. Later, it was proved in physics that it was feasible in theory. Human power is small, but as long as the rod is long enough, the force will be magnified infinitely. That’s the same reason.

Several common units of torque wrench:
The international metric unit is Newton meter (N.m), while the British torque wrench unit is foot pound( ft.lb , lb.in( lb.in )
Conversion of units:
1 KGF = 9.81 n
1 N (n) = 0.225 LBF = 0.102 KGF
1 LBF = 4.45 n (n) 1 dyn = 10-5 n (n)
